TERMSUSE OF THIS WEBSITE

1. Purpose

   These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities that apply between Whale Land and anyone using this website.

2. What this site is

   This site introduces C.O.V.E.R.T and its editions. It is an information site. It does not take orders, hold a cart, process payment or store account information.

3. Purchases

   Buying is done on Whale Land's online shop, not here. The contract of sale is formed there, and that shop's own terms, cancellation policy and privacy notice apply to it. When the shop opens, we will link to it from this site.

   Prices and specifications shown here are for information. Where this site and the shop differ, the shop at the moment of purchase governs.

4. Changes to these terms

   We may revise these terms where the law or our operations require it. A revised version is posted on this page, stating its effective date and the reason for the change, from seven days before it applies. Where a revision is unfavourable to you, it is posted from thirty days before, set out alongside the previous wording so that you can compare the two.

   If you do not object while the revision is posted, we take that as acceptance. If you do not agree, you may stop using the site, and a revised version does not apply to any transaction already concluded before its effective date.

5. Intellectual property

   The C.O.V.E.R.T name and mark, the BUMMY character, all illustrations, mission text, page designs, photographs and the design of this site belong to Whale Land or to those who licensed them to us.

   You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell or make derivative works from any of it — including the contents of the kit — without our written permission. Quoting a short passage with attribution, or posting your own photographs of a kit you bought, is fine.

   Some cover art and illustrations were produced with the assistance of generative AI (Midjourney). We disclose this rather than leave it unsaid.

6. Using the site properly

   Please don't do any of the following:

   1. Interfere with the site's operation, or attempt unauthorised access to it.
   2. Collect content from the site by automated means beyond ordinary browsing.
   3. Impersonate Whale Land, or use the C.O.V.E.R.T name in a way that suggests a connection that doesn't exist.
   4. Anything unlawful, or anything that harms the rights of others.

7. Links to other sites

   This site links to our online shop and to services run by others. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they contain or do. Their own terms apply once you're there.

8. Doing what we can, and what we can't promise

   We keep the site available as best we can, but it may be interrupted by maintenance, technical failure or events outside our control. We aren't liable for loss arising from such interruptions. This does not, however, exclude loss caused by Whale Land's intent or gross negligence.

   Missions in the kit take place in public spaces run by others. Opening hours, admission and conditions change without notice, and we can't guarantee any particular place will be open or accessible on the day you go. Take care of yourself while you're out there.

9. Governing law and disputes

   These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. A dispute is brought before the court with jurisdiction over your address at the time the suit is filed, or over your place of residence if you have no address. Where the address and the place of residence are unclear, or where you are outside Korea, jurisdiction follows the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

   Nothing here limits rights you hold as a consumer under Korean law. These terms are provided in four languages; where the translations differ in meaning, the Korean version governs.
